BAR HARBOR BREWING COMPANY

In 1990 Bar Harbor Brewing Company, Maine's first Cottage Brewery, followed in the foot steps of Geary's (Maine's first brewery) and Gritty McDuff's, Maine's first brewpub and second brewery.  The rest is history as the industry exploded. Run exclusively by husband and wife team Tod and Suzi Foster, with help from their daughter, Meaghan, they do everything themselves, from brewing and bottling, to labeling and delivery.  In the tradition of classic Bavarian brewers, they control their product until it is dropped at their customer's door.

All of Bar Harbor Brewing's ales are bottle conditioned in 22 ounce bombers, and not served on draft.  Several have earned top awards in international competition, and in 2004 their Cadillac Mtn. Stout(TM) was additionally chosen one of the top 25 beers in America, out of a field of 4500 beers.  Given the designation "Best Hard To Find Beer In America", Cadillac as well as all BHBC beers are only available in a few select locations within Maine.  In addition to the 7 ales that Tod brews, Suzi whips up 2 gallon batches of Bar Harbor Blueberry Soda(TM) and Bar Harbor Root Beer (TM) as well as Bar Harbor Blueberry Martini(TM)Syrup for local delivery and mail order.  Stop by for a free blueberry martini recipe card.
